BIO

Roberto Muñiz Vega, President

Roberto Muñiz Vega, a native of Puerto Rico, brings nearly 20 years of diverse engineering experience to his role as President of StarBlue Solutions. A licensed professional engineer, Roberto holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez.

Throughout his career, Roberto has excelled in fields including general construction management, design oversight, cost estimation, project control, and the construction, operation, and maintenance of utility transmission and distribution power grids. His notable accomplishments include serving as Senior Supervisor Engineer with the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority, where he led the reconstruction of Puerto Rico’s transmission and distribution systems following the devastation of Hurricane Maria.

For the past four years, Roberto has been an integral part of ELM MicroGrid’s growth, mentoring engineering teams and driving product development to meet the evolving needs of energy storage and microgrid technologies.

Beyond his professional achievements, Roberto has a storied athletic career as a former professional volleyball player, representing Puerto Rico in international competitions for 15 years. Today, he enjoys exploring the outdoors, traveling, and playing golf in his free time.
